If you value integrity, collaboration, the creative process, spreadsheets (to keep projects on track), and a sense of humour, we’ll go together like a big bold red wine & gorgonzola.
I currently work with a small number of clients who share my values and design sensibilities. Whether it’s a financial institution, a not-for-profit or a healthcare client, I listen and spend time learning what they need so that I can create marketing materials and brand identities that elevate their businesses. This serves results that both move emotion and the bottom line. I’m always happy to work with new clients who are a fit. (Maybe you?)
I embrace the paradox of design…and life. I believe that beauty lies in the space between. It’s not “this” or “that.” It’s “this” and “that.” Me and we. Head and heart. Left and right brain. Pragmatism and creativity. Black and white. Listening and speaking. Dreaming and keeping my feet on the ground.
And as Pink Floyd wisely said in the song ‘Us and Them‘: “Up and down, and in the end it’s only round and round and round.”
I have found that this expansive way of thinking leads to strategic and creative results for businesses.
Back when U2 & Sarah McLachlan topped the charts, I was studying at the University of Toronto. After obtaining my Honours B.A. in English Literature, I went to George Brown College to pursue graphic design. University taught me how to think; college gave me the practical skills to earn a living.
I’m parenting, trying new recipes, expressing my extrovert at social engagements, playing my favourite Coldplay tunes on the piano and singing along, or re-watching Seinfeld episodes. Or maybe I’m reading the latest news on Telegram or non-fiction books (Anne Lamott & Richard Rohr are some of my favourite authors).
